Lots of new YA books this week!

These are a few.

Dragon's Keep by Janet Lee Carey

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne

Soon to be a motion picture! If you start to read this book, you will go on a journey with a nine-year-old boy named Bruno (Though this isn't a book for nine-year-olds.) And sooner or later you will arrive with Bruno at a fence. Fences like this exist all over the world. We hope you never have to encounter one.

After the Wreck, I Picked Myself Up, Spread My Wings, and Flew Away by Joyce Carol Oates

Blaming herself for the car accident on the Tappan Zee Bridge that killed her mother, fifteen-year-old Jenna undergoes a difficult physical and emotional recovery. She seperates her life into two categories: before the wreck and after the wreck. Then Jenna meets Crow, and her life is once again turned upside down.

Fine Free Week

Monday, November 19 - Saturday, November 24

Do you have some library fines that you haven't been able to pay off? Next week, bring in canned goods and your fines will be erased! This is an opportunity to donate much needed food items to FISH (Friends in Servise Here). So give food to people who need it and get your library fine erased at the same time!

IT'S BANNED BOOK WEEK!

September 29-October 6
Banned book week is the week we celebrate all the books that, one time or another, have been banned because people don't want you to read them.
Come into the library this week and check out one of the books others might not want you to read!
